Sahand Ghavidel has a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney's Faculty of Engineering and IT. Sahand has studied artificial algorithms and optimization for over a decade. He has published in over 40 ISI journals and attended many international conferences. According to Google Scholar, , Sahand's publications have received over 1600 citations (April, 2021).

Sahand has been programming for over 15 years. His first programming language was Visual Basic at the age of 12. Since then, he has created hundreds of websites and apps using JavaScript and Python.
